The testing summaries below illustrate a cross sampling of in-house as well as customer funded testing that demonstrate DUOLINE’s ability to perform in extreme conditions typically encountered by oilfield tubulars.

COMBINED LOADING STRESS TESTS

STRESS ENGINEERING SERVICES, INC., HOUSTON, TEXAS, 1995

This test program was carried out for a major oil company in effort to qualify DUOLINE 20 for use in North Sea offshore water injection wells. Eight (8) separate test phases were conducted using 7" 32ppf, L-80 pup joints lined with DUOLINE 20. The tested joints were threaded with the Nippon NS-CC-FGL connection. Six (6) of the tests applied combined external loads in a load frame to simulate stresses applied in a deviant well. A bending load was applied equivalent to a 6° per 100 foot bend radius simultaneously with a tension load applied at 60% of tensile yield strength with internal pressures of 5500 to 7500 psi applied with water or gas, and test temperatures ranging from 122°F. to 225°F. Rapid depressurization cycles were also carried out to demonstrate the liners ability to tolerate pressure cycles. All test phases were concluded by successful high voltage Holiday Testing at a minimum of 15,000 volts. A drift was run through the connection in all test phases to ensure no internal restriction was created. Tap water was used for the water testing, and nitrogen gas was used in the gas phases.
