The testing summaries below illustrate a cross sampling of in-house
as well as customer funded testing that demonstrate DUOLINE’s
ability to perform in extreme conditions typically encountered by
oilfield tubulars.

WIRELINE ABRASION FIELD TEST
DOWNHOLE TECHNOLOGY LTD, ABERDEEN, SCOTLAND, 1996
Wireline abrasion field trials were conducted for a major
oil company at a test well site in Aberdeen, Scotland. DUOLINE
20 was installed in the dogleg section of a highly deviated
tubing string along with coated tubulars from various manufacturers.
A total of 27-slickline tool runs and 8-braided line logging
runs were made with aggressive wireline speeds to diagnose
coating/lining failures as they occurred. While instances
of catastrophic coating failures were recorded on IPC joints
after initial runs, only minor cosmetic damage to the DUOLINE
string resulted after all runs were completed.
